Elements 1

I've been watching the cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender, online!

Earth, brought to you by Mark Brent.

Air, brought to you by Gabe Johansen.

Water, brought to you by my lover, Marc Oliver.
*Just restored the linked post, so check it out again*

Fire, brought to you by Johnny Storm. Ahem, Human Torch. No, wait, Chris Evans.

How do you feel about this post becoming a recurring theme, 4 hot guys representing 4 different ancient elements?!? Yes, no, maybe so?

Amazing series, horrible movie. M. Night ruined Avatar...but regardless, I love the pics. :) Hope you enjoy the series!

Nice concept...not because of Avatar, but because of tradition.

You are so creative...who else would take the ancient lore and find a way to adapt it to current use?

Thanks, as always!

Great idea! For added interest, in some systems there are more than four elements. For instance, I think the ancient Chinese system includes metal and wood (oh, the possibilities!).

@ Mike: Yes, the Chinese system has 5 elements:

As in the western tradition (fire, earth, air, water), if you take them less literarily than a chemical element, as we understand the term to today, and more as a mode of being, an archetype, then these are still pretty relevant today.

In any event, loving these studs. Very much would create a fire with any of them...
