My Leading Man: Ryan Reynolds

The competition is tough in the acting business. If I were a movie-maker, a casting director, or even a co-star, I would want a leading man who is absolutely captivating onscreen, and that means he has to be good looking as well as talented.

We have the classics like Brad Pitt and George Clooney, but even though my heart is still very fond of the former, there's an even hotter batch of hunkalicious in recent years.

Hunks like Chris Evans, Paul Walker, and Ryan Reynolds. As gorgeous as Chris Evans obviously is and as much as we adore him whenever he gets shirtless in movies such as Not Another Teen Movie or the Fantastic Four, we can see that is range as an actor is very limited. As jaw-dropping as Paul Walker looked in Into the Blue and the Fast and Furious movies, and even though he isn't as bad an actor as Chris Evans, I just don't think he can cross into comedy very well.

The only actor that comes to mind who has proven over and over again that he can transcend the boundaries of comedy, action, and drama is Ryan Reynolds.

Working since he was a child, Ryan's breakthrough role has to be the infamous Van Wilder (who doesn't love his yoga scene, or when he strips to do the naked mile?) His enthusiasm, humor, and utter charm makes him the perfect choice for a comedy leading man. But that's not enough for him, Ryan frequently stretches his acting scope through dramatic and emotional roles such as in The Nines and Definitely, Maybe. But let's not forget his hotness as a tough guy in action and horror movies, i.e. The Amityville Horror or X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

In summary, Ryan is truly a hunk of a gem in the acting biz.

Best. EW. Cover. EVER!

Is it just me or does he have some Tyler Lough in him?
